WEDDING CEREMONIES

Greystone Hall is an unparalleled site for weddings whether you are having a ceremony elsewhere and having the reception on site or if you are having both the ceremony and reception on site. The vast majority of those choosing the site have opted to have both the ceremony and reception at Greystone Hall because of the convenience of having the entire event at one location and because of the beauty of the location for a wedding ceremony - either outdoors on the grounds or indoors in the Great Hall. During the spring, summer and fall seasons, the ceremonies are usually held outside, weather permitting. The ceremony takes place on the fountain terrace in front of the wrought iron arbor with the fifty-six column pergola which marks the perimeter of South Lawn. The arbor serves as the wedding chuppah for traditional Jewish wedding ceremonies.

Greystone Hall’s stately architecture and formal grounds have been the setting for many special wedding ceremonies. Orthodox Jewish, Indian Muslim and Korean ceremonies have been performed on site. There have been numerous interfaith weddings combining the beauty of the different religious and cultural traditions of both the bride’s and groom’s families. The setting also has inspired period weddings - from Renaissance to Victorian - and theme weddings including a Halloween Masked Wedding, a Phantom of the Opera wedding and a Murder Mystery Wedding.
