Most receptions at Greystone Hall start with cocktails and hors d’oeurves served in the mansion or- weather permitting- in the North Garden with its marble fountain surrounded by semicircular benches. Patio tables and umbrellas provide a place to sit and enjoy the garden. The main bar is in the Iron and Glass Palm Room. Inside - guests who are interested in architecture, woodwork, antiques and oriental carpets may explore the mansion’s first floor formal rooms which are all joined together by a series of pocket doorways. The gardens outside and the furnished rooms inside provide ample settings and backgrounds for wedding photographs.

Dinner and dancing in the Tent-Pavilion. Dinner and dancing take place in the custom designed Tent-Pavilion, overlooking the terraced landscape gardens and the south lawn. Flanked on the east and west by two covered stone terraces, the Tent-Pavilion provides 100% seating in one place for all guests, whether the service style is food stations style, buffet style or a served sit down dinner. The Tent-Pavilion is accessed directly from the mansion by three sets of double doors. It is furnished with a band stand, 24’ by 15’ dance floor, serving and party tables, wall to wall gray carpeting, white drapes and white wooden folding chairs. When the weather is good, the front walls can be rolled up, giving the guests the atmosphere of garden dining. At dark, spotlights dramatically light up the garden fountains, statues, and the white columned pergola.
